I spent many stormy evenings playing pool with the snow groomer diesel mechanics who lived just below the Burning Log Bistro. Guthega was a wild place back then, smoke would pour out of the Inn as you walked in and the atmosphere inside was electric as people boasted about their days skiing. There was always a friendly face, and a sneaky beer or for an underage snowboarder frolicking in the madness.
